The procedure for obtaining passport by Govt.
employees, officials working in PSUs and
autonomous body has become simple.
As per Govt. rule, any govt. servant who wants to
apply for passport has to get NOCs (no-objection
certificate and identity certificates from their respective
departments. Getting through with these processes is
a time taking procedure. To simplify the process, the
MEA has introduced “Annexure N” or PIL, so that the
govt. servant doesn’t have to face much difficulty.
Applicants along with passport application form can submit Annexure N after obtaining an acknowledgement from the department.
This new system came into force from June 8th 2015.
In case of military personnel with APO address or for Air Force/Navy personnel, they have to submit the applications either at their station of posting or at their permanent addresses, and write their permanent addresses in the passport (against the present address), the release further said.
