Driving Licence Renewal


Driving licence renewal is required after the expiry of driving licence. Itzeazy helps to renew drivers licence online. So you can apply for online licence renewal sitting at your home. Itzeazy will do process for driving licence renewal end to end. You need to visit RTO only in the case where its mandatory to visit RTO.

  • Driving licence can be renewed only one month before the expiry of the validity period


  • There is one month grace period given for the renewal of driving licence. During this grace period there will be no late fine.


  • After the expiry of grace period there is late fine for driving licence renewal. Late fine is Rs. 1000 per year.


  • One can renew his/her driving licence till five years from the date of expiry of driving licence . After five year it can not be renewed and you need to apply for new driving licence.

  • A driving licence issued to a person under the age of 30 is valid till the person turns 40. 


  • For those who receive licences between the ages of 30 and 50, the licence will remain valid for 10 years. 


  • If the licence is issued between 50 and 55 years, it will be valid until the person turns 60. 


  • Above 55 years, licences will carry a five-year validity.

The prescribed driving licence renewal fees is Rs. 200. However  RTO is free to charge over and above this charge such as smart card charge, service charge etc. Hence driving licence renewal fees varies from RTO to RTO.

Following are the documents required for driving licence renewal :


1. Original expired driving licence 


2. Medical fitness certificate ( if the driving licence holder is above 50 years old)

Renew learners licence



  • You can renew learners licence if it gets expired. Validity of the learners licence is 6 months. There is provision for learning licence renewal if it gets expired .


  • Learning licence renewal fees is to be deposited to renew learners licence.


  • Learning licence renewal can be done from the same RTO which has issued learning licence. Change of RTO is accepted .
