While transferring a vehicle (car/bike) from one state to another , first NOC is required from the RTO where vehicle is registered . To register the vehicle in the RTO of transferred state one will have to pay the road tax other than submitting NOC , RC ,Insurance and address proof.
What are the documents required for No Objection Certificate ( NOC) for vehicle transfer ?
1. Application on Form 28
2. Original RC
3. Upto date payment of Road tax
4. Valid insurance
5. Crime Report of N.C.R.B
6. Copy of address proof
Can I drive my vehicle without registering it in the state where I have been transferred ?
No , legally its not permitted .
How much Road tax I will have to pay in the state where I am taking my vehicle?
It varies from state to state . Normally it is in the range of 10% of vehicle value .
What is the procedure for HP (Hypothecation) deletion ?
If a vehicle is purchased on loan from a financier , once loan is repaid completely , the same could be endorsed in the registration certificate and following are the documents required:
1. Registration certificate in original
2. Dully filled Form no. 35
3. A certificate from financier for having retained full dues from the financier (for deletion case only)
4. Copy of valid insurance
5. Copy of address proof of the registered owner
6. Copy of valid pollution under control certificate
7. Attested copy of PAN Card or Form 60 & 61(as applicable)
What is the process for ownership transfer of a vehicle ?
The transfer of ownership of a vehicle is to be applied in the concerned zonal office where vehicle is already registered and following are the documents to be submitted :
1. Original RC
2. Dully filled Form no.29
3. Dully filled Form no.30
4. Copy of valid insurance certificate
5 . Attested copy of address proof of purchaser
6. Attested copy of valid Pollution Under Control Certificate
7. Attested copy of PAN Card or Form 60 & 61(as applicable)
What is the process for issue of duplicate RC ?
In case the original RC is either lost or mutilated ,registered owner can apply for a duplicate RC after submitting following documents:
2. Original copy of the F.I.R/N.C.R.
3. Copy of valid insurance policy
4. Copy of pollution under control certificate.
5. Copy of address proof.
6. Copy of PAN Card or Form 60 & 61(as applicable)
